Picture perfect day. Cycling Cambria to Los Osos and back. 29 days of this weather on BikeTheCoast13 sure would be nice. Also trying out my GPS Tracker this weekend. Check the tab to GPS Tracker tab to follow me around like a stalker.
After checking out several GPS tracking apps I can use with my Android, I think I've settled on Real Time GPS Tracker by Greenalp (www.greenalp.com). I think I'll be able to embed a live GPS tracking map on my web site and I can also send out via text messaging or email from the road. Maps can then easily be viewed from a computer or iPad, iPhone, Android devices, etc. Still might check a couple others out but for now Greenalp is what I'm going with.
Cycling to Woodside, then climbing Kings Mountain to Alice's Restaraunt, where I'll meet Kelley, my girls, and father-in-law for breakfast. Perfect morning for it!
Nice 50-miler today. Feeling really good. Interesting visit to my (GP) doc yesterday. He was not very enthusiastic about me doing this ride. I told him it was a done deal. Then he tried to get me to wait a year. I told him that I already made up my mind. Took some convincing but finally got his blessing. He said I was "certifiable." Fortunately, when he asked, "when was the last time you rode 60 miles?", I had a good answer for him: "Sunday."
Did a bunch of work on main page last night. Plan to add several photos of kids with Arthritis whom I'm met in my years as a volunteer at the Arthritis Foundation's Camp Milagros. Just need to to get parent OKs.
I'll be uploading photos and blogging daily from my ride. In the meantime if you have any questions or comments, post them here or email me at Jeff.Fredericks@Colliers.com
Route page pretty much finished, as is the "Why now" page. Lots of work to do on home page, and barely started planning page. That's next though.
